Yorkshire Day celebrations shine through

Summer flooding didn't dampen the true spirit of Yorkshire as folk gathered to celebrate Yorkshire Day for an evening with Ashley Jackson.

Over 75 Woodland Trust supporters, some traveling from as far a field as the East Riding of Yorkshire and Cheshire, battled through flooded roads to attend a unique celebration of Yorkshire at it's best.

With the support of Booths Supermarkets and numerous locally based companies, guests enjoyed a traditional Yorkshire evening, white roses and Yorkshire puddings abounded as Ashley demonstrated his unique interpretation of Yorkshire.

One of the Trust guests explains "I was transfixed by the ease in which we were made to feel so at home and by the refreshing way Ashley simply summed up his genuine love of the Dales. It truly was a celebration of Yorkshire hospitality at it's best. Thank you."

If you wish to support the Yorkshire Dales Project we will ensure donation money will be 'geared up' through the unique partnership agreements of this new project, to maximise the impact of your money in creating and protecting woodlands in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Because of the unique partnerships agreements of the Yorkshire Dales Landscape Project in most cases, every £1.00 donated to the project will result in £3.00 being utilised to protect, plant and manage woodland.
