A
new woodland for the Dales
The Yorkshire Dales Landscape Project has received a significant boost through the generosity of Mr Keith Bradshaw, retired teacher and resident of Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales.

Mr Bradshaw has enabled the Woodland Trust to purchase this piece of land, which nestles below Ingleborough on the outskirts of Ingleton, to create a new wood in memory of his wife. For many years Edith Bradshaw was a popular teacher at Casterton School, Kirby Longsdale and her husband’s wish is that local schoolchildren will have the opportunity of planting the first trees at Edith’s Wood later in 2002.
If you are interested in finding out more about this special project simply telephone (01484) 609510 or visit the Dales Diary later in the year.
In support of the Yorkshire Dales Landscape project, famous artist Ashley Jackson has produced an original commission, illustrating one of the Trust woods in Wharfedale. The Trust has produced limited edition prints of this beautiful painting to give to the first 500 people who donate £150 to the appeal.
Visit Supporting the Project for further information.
If you wish to support the Yorkshire Dales Project we will ensure donation money will be 'geared up' through the unique partnership agreements of this new project, to maximise the impact of your money in creating and protecting woodlands in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
Because
of the unique partnerships agreements of the Yorkshire Dales Landscape Project in
most cases, every £1.00 donated to the project will result in £3.00
being utilised to protect, plant and manage woodland.
