Tell us about an ancient wood or tree under threat

Each week the Woodland Trust and Ancient Tree Forum hear of ancient woods and trees that may be severely damaged or destroyed by road schemes, new housing, industry, quarrying and other development.

You can find a wood to check if it is ancient and tell us about an ancient wood or ancient tree under threat through our interactive map - click "Find your wood" below.

For a step by step
demonstration on how to submit a wood or tree under threat to us - click here.

We may already be aware of a threat to a wood or tree in which case it will appear marked by a triangle on the map. If the wood or tree is ancient and not already marked on our map as under threat, submit it for us to investigate further and possibly add to our casework.

Due to limited resources, we concentrate on saving only ancient woods and ancient trees.

If your tree or wood is not ancient, we have further information that provides advice on dealing with cases of woods and trees under threat (see below).
