Opposing a threat to woods or trees

We receive many requests from people seeking help to prevent damage to their local wood, or a tree they consider important.

We prioritise the cases in which we become involved and where possible secure the protection of ancient woods and ancient trees.

There are many ways in which you can take action to stop the destruction of ancient woods and trees as well as advising us of the threat.

If you find out about a development proposal or another activity that will threaten a wood, you can take action yourself.

Find out as much background information as you can about the issue.

Get the facts right. You will lack credibility with others if your case relies upon inaccurate, subjective or unverified second-hand information.

OK you have done that but what to do with the information next?

You could do one or more of the following:

A1 Aberdeen to Dunoon
A1 Aberdeen to Dunoon causing loss of ancient woodland
