Getting started
Do you enjoy walking, running, cycling, swimming or even staying
silent for 24 hours? Are you interested in woodland and the environment? If
so, have you ever thought of the Woodland Trust as the benefactor of your
effort?
Across the UK there are numerous large organised events that you could
register with, such as the London or Edinburgh Marathons, Bath or Glasgow
Half Marathons or the London 10k run to name but a few.
If you prefer, why not create your own challenge event for example a cycle
challenge from Land's End to John O’Groats? Either is a great way of raising
money to help us.

Online
fundraising: the easy way to raise sponsorship!
To help you raise funds more efficiently the Woodland Trust is working with
Justgiving
to enable you to set up your own online sponsorship page so that
your friends and relatives across the world can make a donation with just a
click of a button.
By creating your online sponsorship page you can:
-
Email your personalised page to all your friends, family and
colleagues eg www.justgiving.com/yourname
-
Personalise your page with
a photo, message and fundraising progress. Friends can also leave
messages of support
-
Money is transferred
directly into our bank (When someone sponsors you, you will receive an
e-mail notification. You will also have access to a page giving you a
breakdown of the money you have raised.)
-
Raise
money from people you wouldn’t normally see in person – including the
taxman! If your sponsors pay tax, this system will allow us to collect
an additional 25%
It
takes just 5 minutes to set up your sponsorship page, simply visit
www.justgiving.com,
click “For Fundraisers” and follow the instructions to build your page.

So, help us create and preserve the beautiful woods and forests of Great
Britain for future generations to enjoy by choosing us as your charity
and creating an online donation form today!
Please remember that by
adding your page to the Justgiving website you will be agreeing to our
standard disclaimer.
