We are delighted to be working with SPAR (UK) Ltd to help them
celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2007 with their campaign
Rooted in the Community.
80% of SPAR stores are independently owned by local retailers
who have been proudly trading at the heart of their communities
for as much as 50 years. To mark this special occasion SPAR will
be dedicating 2,700 native trees in Woodland Trust woods across
the country – that’s one for every SPAR store in the UK. Each
tree symbolising the future growth and lasting legacy of the
company as it continues to serve the community.
In addition to this, SPAR are also sponsoring a fantastic “Win
Trees For Your Local Schools” competition where you, the
customer, get the chance to nominate your local school to win
one of the Woodland Trust’s popular
Hedge and Copse packs. The packs of 30 Saplings can be
planted in their school grounds or a local community site.
