Community Woodland Network
Grant Award Success
Peter Eustance chairman of Woolton Village Residents Association is very
please to tell us that as part of the groups community engagement project
with woodland wildflowers and the provision of hanging basket displays to
OAPs and disabled people, they have been awarded a Millennium Fellowship
Certificate by Tessa Jowell MP, Minister of State.
Peter said "The grant we received from the Woodland Trust was for training
and equipment, the other grant we received was from the Millennium
Commission for flower stock and equipment for growing the planting displays
to supply to OAPs and disabled people, as well as actively engaging those
groups in the project itself".
The grant which the group received from the Woodland Trust, Community
Woodland Network project was partly used to purchase a brushcutter, which
was one of the essential items of equipment used to develop the annual
wildflower bed in Woolton woods, and the new certificate received reflects
the community involvement in that project.Congratulations to Peter and
the rest of the group on all of your hard work being recognised - well
done!!
