"Big Betty" - photo of an ancient Douglas fir (species named by a Scottish naturalist) that was discovered last year to be the 5th largest in the world. "Big Betty" is the fourth largest Douglas Fir in BC. She is 31 feet, 9 inches in circumference (at DBA). The GPS (UTM) co-ordinates for this giant tree are (5396215 N, 10 386061E).
