Michael Oxman from Seattle has sent us this photo of an embalmed Western Red Cedar tree bolted to a downtown highrise building in Portland, Oregon.

 




 

 

This art is called Ya-Wa, which means "there it is" in the Chinook language. The artist is Judy Pfaff, and it was commissioned in 2000 by Morrison Street Limited Partnership. It is located on the sidewalk at ODS Tower, at SW 2nd & Alder St. in Portland, Oregon, USA.
