The Oak Tree

As I gaze upon its majesty
My heart is filled with pride
For its presence here has surely blest
This our countryside

For if I could have chosen
How to adorn this land
It would have been with the mighty oak
For nothing is so grand

To think that from an acorn
This mighty giant can grow
Man is filled with wonder
On how this could be so

Think about its power
Swaying in the breeze
Be in awe of its splendour
This giant among our trees

And when life is weary
And becomes too much to bear
Remember all this beauty
That we’re allowed to share
